Alle unserer Gästezimmer sind nahezu Bezugsbereit. Unser zweiter "Stammgast" kommt heute Abend und der Dritte übermorgen. 

Sechs stunden schlafen dann wieder ca. 17 Std....... 

Macht nichts, unsere Gäste werden es schätzen.

Visit from Switzerland

My brother and members of his family came from Switzerland to visit us at the the Swiss Paradise Villa. Unfortunately we were not ready to accommodate them. But we enjoyed a glass of Champagne together. (They stayed at the Thai Garden Resort and loved it.)

Moving out and moving in has been very stressful during the past week.

The Swiss Paradise Villa is now 95% completed.

Diese Holzschnitzereien sind nun bemalt und lackiert, und können entsprechend als wand / decken Dekoration in den Zimmer und als lichter für die Außenmauern angebracht werden.

These wood carvings are now painted and varnished, and can now accordingly be installed as wall / ceiling decoration in the room and as lights for the outside walls.

Wir sind bald soweit. Nur noch ein paar Wochen, und morgen am 1 August (Schweizer Nationaltag) fängt unser "count down" bis zum „soft opening“ der Swiss Paradise Villa an. Am Sonntag, 3 August haben wir ein treffen mit dem Bauleiter, danach können wir auch genauere Daten veröffentlichen.

We are getting there. Just a few more weeks to go, and tomorrow on 1st of  August (Swiss National Day) we shall start the countdown for the soft opening of the Swiss Paradise Villa. On Sunday August 3rd we will have a meeting with the project manager, after that we can announce an accurate date for our “soft opening”

Und wo gearbeitet wird bekommt man auch hunger. Die
„Mobilen Küchen“ werden direkt vor die Baustelle gefahren. Ein Kleinkind schaut ihrer Mutter beim arbeiten zu. Zwei Strassenhunde wundern sich warum hier so viele Arbeiter sind. Und rund herum geht es vorwärts.

The project is in full progress. And where people work, people get hungry. Mobile food carts come and go. A small child watches her mother at work, two street dogs wonder what all these workers do here. And
all around we make good progress day by day.

Und diese Vogel Skulptur ist auch der
letzte Teil der Vollendung von unserm Dach.

Ja, wir haben jetzt ein Dach überm Kopf.

Nur noch etwas retuschieren und fertig ist es.

Ein Regnerischer Tag ist ein perfekter Tag um zu
Hause noch eine weitere Holzschnitzerei zu restaurieren.

 Eigentlich bin ich schon ziehmlich gut! “Learning by doing”.
